Stacey Ford (All about me)
What people appreciate about me
People say that I am calm and supportive, and that I am a good listener.
I am empathetic and understanding.
I have a lot of knowledge in the field of SEN (as I’ve been working in it so long!).
I try to find the positive side of things and focus on ways forward.
What is important to me?
Honesty is important to me. I like people to be open about how they are feeling and honest about what they can and can’t do. I’d rather someone say no to a request than say yes and then not be able to do it.
Time alone to think is important to me.
It is important to get feedback where possible to help me to know how I can do things better and to be aware of when I have done things well. I like to reflect on things that I have done and to learn from experience.
Whilst I enjoy my work very much (most of the time) my family and friends are very important to me and it is important that I can leave work behind at times and focus on other things. I enjoy spending time with my family.
How to support me
I find it very useful to have clear deadlines for things I am expected to do.
Be clear about what you expect from me.
